You may have heard us say, "As Subi Church gets larger, Subi Church gets smaller". What we mean by this is that we recongnize the difficulty of developing intimate relationships in a large church like Subi. The occasional conversations people have with one another on a Sunday morning is not enough to harness deep friendships. That is why we encourage everyone to be part of a Subi Small Group. We believe in the importance of authentic relationships that is built on Biblical principles and values. We believe that the journey of life is not to be walked alone but shared with others.

Here at Subi, the vision of our small groups is quite straightforward. We encourage our small groups:

- To create an environment where people are safe and feel welcomed to share openly. At the end of the day, we want people in our small groups to be able to share their journey with others and have support for one another through it all
- To establish the environment mentioned above by following Biblical values and priniciples
- To grow spiritually and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through worship, Bible study, prayer, spiritual community.
- To always have the vision of growth by maintaining an "open-door" policy whereby each small group is opened to invite new members to join
- To develop new leaders so that the future growth of the ministy can be faciliated

Small groups are a great place to grow in your faith and to connect with the community here at Subi Church. About once a fortnight, these groups meet in homes all over Perth to learn together what it means to follow Jesus and to support each other along the journey.

If you’re looking to get to know some other people, looking for some support in your faith, or wanting a place where you can go deeper in your faith, small groups are a great place to be.
